Lawyers Love FirmVO
We love to receive great feedback and here are just some of the praise and testimonials we've received from FirmVO members.
The reason Firmvo makes sense to me is that for a fraction of the cost a solo-practitioner can share the resources and staff. Another advantage is having an address in an area of town, people associate with law firms and business. Thus lending credibility to the solo practitioner's law firm.
I am trying to keep overhead down and rent is a huge part of that overhead. Using a virtual office is great, being able to work from my home but go to a physical office if I want to get work done or have a client meeting really works incredibly well.
The concept of confidentiality runs deep in the legal profession. All lawyers have an ethical duty of confidentiality. The ABA lists confidentiality as a heightened ethical concern when operating a virtual law office. While it may be a valid concern, there are many ways for virtual firms to protect the information of their clients. The ABA’s Model Rule 1.6 governs such disclosure.
The ABA refers to communication as a crucial aspect of the client-lawyer relationship. “Reasonable communication between the lawyer and the client is necessary for the client effectively to participate in the representation.”
